haven't been able to get the answer anywhere else. i want to use a font in my short film, would that be considered personal or commercial use?

Every font designer has her/his own definition, you'd better contact her/him directly.

I have a similar question. I am a composer, and I want to use a specific designer's fonts as titles for my musical works. His licensing agreement specifies "It may NOT be used for commercial purposes or sold in anyway". I'm assuming that statement means that I can't use his fonts in the manner I've expressed? I'm not selling the font itself, but it would be embedded in a larger work, one which would be for sale. I have tried and tried in vain to reach the designer Gregory J. Griffin (see my post above). Despite having an extensive catalog of works, he seems to have fallen off the face of the Earth.
