I created a font using fontforge but when I select the font in MSWord there is this square symbol thingie after the cursor - how do I get rid of it? If anyone can help I will be grateful - P.S I'm a novice with fontforge
The .notdef glyph is the glyph that is used to indicate to the user that a glyph is missing in a font.

In practice, the □ codepoint is used as a Failure Glyph. The U+FFFD REPLACEMENT CHARACTER is used to replace an unknown, unrecognized or unrepresentable character.
